Survey: Will the Lions beat the Cardinals in Week 5?
Throughout the offseason, SB Nation will host NFL fan surveys, sponsored by FanDuel Sportsbook. For Pride of Detroit, we are tasked with fielding questions from Detroit Lions fans, and as we head into Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season, we have two questions for fans this week:
- Will the Lions beat the Cardinals in Week 5? (weekly question)
- Are you confident the Lions are headed in the right direction? (recurring poll)
Both teams are coming off losses, but the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook believe Detroit will return to ther winning track in Week 5 against the Cardinals, having set the original betting line at Lions -4.5 points and shifting it to -5.5-points in recent days.
Our weekly “confidence the Lions are headed in the right direction” survey has seen big shifts this season. After a shaky Week 1 that required overtime to beat the Saints, Lions fans showed a lower-than-normal level of confidence to start the season, but after getting beat up by the Bills in Week 2, confidence levels fell below 50% for the first time in the coach Dan Campbell era. A win over the Jets in Week 3 saw confidence rise back up near 80%, but after suffering another bad loss on the road in primetime, this time to the Carolina Panthers, it wouldn’t be surprising to see confidence drop significantly again.
As for this week’s game, the Lions are working through some pretty large obstacles on defense, but their offense is still incredibly talented and will give them a shot to win every week. Meanwhile, the Cardinals are still early in Mike LaFleur’s head-coaching tenure, and they’ve struggled to keep opponents off the board, giving up 36, 36, and 31 points in their last three games—all losses. The Cardinals also have a lot of talented offensive skill players on their roster and have come close to pulling off an upset the last two weeks, but they came up just short in closing out their games.
And with that, it’s time to vote in the Feed surveys below, sound off in the comments, and check back with Pride of Detroit later in the week for the results.
