On March 25, the Fire Marshal’s office was called to assist the China Grove Police Department for an improvised explosive device recovered within its city limits. Based on the device characteristics and information obtained by investigators, officials suspected Faleide of placing the device, authorities said.
Investigators attempted to initiate a search warrant at Faleide’s residence, but he wasn’t there. Officials said they discovered multiple components of an IED, including a pipe-bomb in it’s final stages of manufacture.
Faleide was taken to the Bexar County Jail.
