A Castle Hills homeowner made a dangerous discovery in their backyard Sunday.
Police arrived at the home located on Roleto Drive and discovered a live grenade sitting in the yard. The bomb squad from Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland was called to safely remove the grenade to the Castle Hills police station for further investigation.
The bomb squad determined the grenade was real after an X-ray. The device was then transported to Camp Bullis to be detonated.
