A man walking on Loop 410 in the Southwest Side was hit and killed by a SUV Monday night, San Antonio police said. The ma shows the approximate location of the incident.

A man walking on Loop 410 in the Southwest Side was hit and killed by a SUV Monday night, San Antonio police said.
According to police, the unidentified man was walking in one of the lanes in the 8600 block of SW Loop 410 around 8 p.m. when he was hit by a Buick Enclave.
The driver said he didn’t see the man walking before it was too late, police said. The driver remained on the scene and attempted to help the victim before police arrived.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver is not expected to face criminal charges.
