Open Thread: Today I really miss Manu Ginobili

So many reasons to yearn for El Contusion

Perhaps it’s the Rodeo Road Trip. Or knowing the All-Star Weekend is just around the corner. Or just that Manu’s last game was against the Golden State Warriors. They avoided being swept, and somehow I viewed that as a tribute to Manu.

No matter the reason, as the Spurs continue to venture into uncharted territory, the memory of Manu Ginobili lingers.

Watching a recording of the Pelicans game with my daughter made a Manu connection, but that one is a little more obvious:

Trust me, it’s not just the bat thing. It’s the Manu Things. All the Manu Things. Every day is a day to wish Manu had stayed one more season. But today is the day that it hits me the most.
