The Champions League round of 16 gets back underway on Tuesday evening, with four Premier League sides still battling for a place in the quarter-finals.

Man City are in the best position of the English quartet, having drawn 1-1 with RB Leipzig in Germany two weeks ago. Chelsea and Tottenham suffered 1-0 defeats, to Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan respectively, but both have home advantage in the second leg.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will need a miracle to progress to the last-eight, having fallen to a 5-2 defeat against reigning champions Real Madrid at Anfield. Their 7-0 demolition of bitter rivals Manchester United will give Jurgen Klopp hope, however.

The quarter-final stage is where the Champions League really becomes interesting, with seedings no longer a factor and clubs from the same country able to face each other.

But when does the draw take place? And when will the quarter-final ties be played? Sportsmail provides the answers below.

The draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League will take place on Friday, March 17.

It will get underway at 11am, for those in the United Kingdom, and will typically take place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The quarter-final draw will consist of eight teams, being those who prevailed in the round of 16 ties.

As stated, there are no longer any seeds, while teams from the same country can now square off.  Those who competed in the group stage together can also be drawn against each other in the quarter-final stage.
