The 2023-24 summer transfer window has officially opened, with clubs now looking at which players they need to bring in ahead of the new season.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle will all be looking to close the gap on Manchester City after Pep Guardiola’s side secured their third league title in a row back in May.

Chelsea had a busy summer, signing the likes of Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling and Marc Cucurella.

The new season is set to kick off on the weekend of August 12/13. It is likely that the first fixture is held on Friday, August 11.

Who could be on the move this summer?

One of the biggest moves of this summer could see Harry Kane leave Tottenham. The forward is reportedly only interested in a move to Manchester United and is prepared to see out the remaining year of his contract if a deal cannot be agreed.

However, recent reports state that United are said to be increasingly unlikely to sign Kane this summer with Tottenham having made their stance clear.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has no plans to sell the player and remains firm that if they do it won’t be to another Premier League team.

According to The Times, Erik ten Hag’s side aren’t confident that they will be able to sign Kane. United are considering Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund as an alternative solution should the club miss out on the Englishman.

Chelsea’s Mason Mount could be another player on the move this summer, with Manchester United looking to strengthen their midfield.

The Red Devils are reportedly set to table a £50m offer to sign the Englishman, but is valued at around £85m by Chelsea.

With Mount’s current deal set to expire next year, both the player and Chelsea are no closer to agreeing a new contract.

Outside of the Premier League, Jude Bellingham looks set to put pen-to-paper on a six-year-deal at Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have agreed a deal worth an initial £88.5m to sign England international.

It is understood the deal will guarantee Dortmund £88.5m – but will rise towards £113.5m as a result of £25m worth of performance-related add-ons – which are believed to be achievable.

Declan Rice is another big name who could be on the move this summer, with Arsenal ready to table a £90m bid for the West Ham star

He recently guided West Ham to their first trophy in 43 years when they defeated Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final earlier this month.
