The summer window is fast approaching with clubs already eyeing up key targets ahead of the new season.

The Premier League has confirmed dates for the summer and winter transfer windows ahead of the new season.

In a statement, the Premier League said: ‘To ensure harmonisation with the major leagues in Europe, the closing dates were set following discussions with the EFL, DFL, Serie A, LaLiga and LFP, who will all close their Summer and Winter windows on September 1 and February 1 respectively.’

Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will be looking at ways in which they can close the gap on Manchester City after Pep Guardiola’s side secured yet another league title last season.

Who could be on the move this summer?

One of the biggest moves of this summer could see Harry Kane leave Tottenham. The forward is reportedly only interested in a move to Manchester United and is prepared to see out the remaining year of his contract if a deal cannot be agreed.

According to The Times, Erik ten Hag’s side aren’t confident that they will be able to sign Kane. United are considering Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund as an alternative solution should the club miss out on the Englishman.

Mason Mount is another player who could head to Old Trafford this summer. The Red Devils have reportedly planned to table a £50m offer to get the midfielder from Chelsea. Both Arsenal and Liverpool have also expressed their interest in the Englishman.
