Vote Now: Winning golfers lead this week's Tremendous 10 poll
Polk County continued to be competitive at the annual Crutchefield/Hawkins Girls Golf Tournament as three county golfers, two girls and one boy, won their respective tournament at various courses in Sebring and Avon Park. The three golfers lead this week's list of nominees for The Ledger's Tremendous 10 poll. Also included among the nominees are football players, volleyball players and a cross country runner.
In last week's poll, it was a two-man race as George Jenkins running back Malik Raymond won with 54.3 percent of the vote, and Lakeland running back Xavion Mitchell was second with 45.5 percent.

1 McKeel junior Leonie Tavares shot 2-under 70 to win the Crutchfield/Hawins Girls Golf Tournament at River Greens Golf Course in Avon Park.
2 Bartow senior Blake Barron shot 71 to win the Crutchfield/Hawkins Boys Golf Tournament at Sun ’N’ Lake Golf & Country Club in Sebring.
3 Lakeland senior Elizabeth Hall (girls golf) shot 1-under 71 at the Crutchfield-Hawkins Girls Golf Tournament at Pinecrest Golf Club in Sebring.
4 Lake Gibson senior Mason Desandolo (football) led the Braves with 10 solo tackles and 17 total tackles. For the season, he is tied for the team lead with 22 solo tackles and leads with 35 total tackles.
5 Lake Wales senior Daniel James (football) scored two touchdowns on catches 42 and 20 yards in the Highanders’ 66-0 victory over Brandon. For the season, he has emerged as Lake Wales’ second-leading receiver with 11 catches for 210 yards.
6 Tenoroc junior Chris Maxwell (football) led the Titans with five solo tackles and eight total tackles, including one sack, in their 33-0 victory over Mulberry. For the season, he leads Tenoroc with 37 solo tackles and is tied for the lead with 54 total tackles.
7 All Saints junior Hali Vatikiotis (volleyball) piled up 30 kills in two matches to lead the Saints, who are ranked No. 5 in the Class 1A MaxPreps rankings, to two victories for the week. For the season, she leads All Saints with 168 kills.
8 Winter Haven senior Tyberius O’Neil (football) rushed 15 times for 166 yards and one touchdown. For the season, he has rushed for 492 yards on 61 carries and five touchdowns.
9 Winter Haven senior Addison Traina (volleyball) had 53 assists in two matches, both wins. For the season, she leads the Blue Devils with 548 assists.
10 Lake Region junior Isabelle Rios (girl cross country) ran a personal-best 22:02.0 to win the girls race at the Lake Wales Invitational.
