Tottenham 0-Chelsea 1: Jose Mourinho loses two consecutive Premier League home games for first time ever
Tottenham vs Chelsea
The final tie of the current Premier League game week saw two of London’s top clubs face off, with Tottenham playing host to Chelsea.
The Blues head into the clash in decent form under their new boss, Thomas Tuchel, having drawn with Wolves and then picked up a convincing win over Burnley in their previous tie.
Spurs, on the other hand, have been in slightly patchy form for some time now, with their woes only exacerbated when harry Kane picked up an injury in the Lilywhite’s 3-1 loss against Liverpool recently.
This was followed by a woeful showing against Brighton, which saw Spurs lose 1-0 whilst creating virtually no chances.

And when all was said and done at Stamford Bridge, the Lilywhites’ woes continued.
Chelsea, unsurprisingly, dominated the majority of possession on Thursday, and were eventually rewarded for their dominance 25 minutes in.
A clumsy challenge from Eric Dier on Timo Werner in the Tottenham box saw the Blues handed a penalty, which Jorginho stepped up to convert.

Tottenham did show a bit more intent in the second 45, but they were still unable to really cause Chelsea and problems, with the final whistle eventually blowing with the score at 1-0.
Following his side’s latest defeat, Jose Mourinho has now lost two consecutive Premier League home games for the first time as a manager.

There were also some more rather concerning stats from the game from a Tottenham perspective, which can be seen below:
Son just had his first touch in the box by the way. 87 minutes it took.

#thfc FT, 0-1. Three consecutive League defeats for Spurs for the first time since February 2012 under Redknapp and Mourinho suffers back to back home defeats in PL for first time ever. Damning statistics from a very bad night.
