Tony Parker returns to San Antonio after assignment in Austin

The veteran point guard makes his return to the big club

Tony Parker is back with the San Antonio Spurs after his brief stint with the Austin Spurs, SA’s G-League affiliate as part of his rehabilitation process.

TP is still recovering from a ruptured left quadriceps tendon that he suffered during the Western Conference semifinals. He spent a week in Austin before returning to San Antonio.

Parker is a vital part of this team, and if they can’t have Kawhi Leonard quite yet, Tony is the next best option. Something to keep in mind is this: Popovich said Parker would not return until he is “100 percent.”

Maybe Parker is nearly ready to play.
