Spurs legend Tim Duncan is helping college students in his native U.S. Virgin Islands unite with their families during the coronavirua pandemic by paying for their airfare to wherever home may be.

The Spurs assistant coach is teaming up with Silver-Seaborne Airways to pay for a one-way ticket for college students in or from the islands so they can be with their families during uncertain times without bearing another financial burden, according to The Virgin Islands Consortium and Rashidi Clenance, Duncan’s longtime friend.

Duncan and his partners are asking students to be certain they have not contracted COVID-19 before coming in contact with their families.

To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled in a school in the U.S. Virgin Islands and have a valid ID. All applications must be submitted online, via email to [email protected]. Clenance listed more information needed for the application here.

The effort is in partnership with Delta, JetBlue and American Airlines. The students must be ready to travel at any time during the next business day after submitting their application and will fly on any of the three partnered airlines, according to the post.
