An El Paso woman who disappeared in March after going to a UFC event at San Antonio’s AT&T Center has been found safe and alive, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office told KSAT 12. The University of Texas Police Department found Lynnette Martinez on Sunday, April 2, in downtown Austin.

Prior to the 30-year-old’s disappearance, she left a home in west Bexar County to go to the UFC event on Saturday, March 25. It was said she often traveled alone to events, and was a wrestler who regularly attended events such as UFC Fight Night San Antonio. However, it was not clear at the time of her disappearance if she actually attended the event.

“She had gotten invited [sic] to either a special event or a party where she was going to be meeting somebody that was going to be introducing her to one of the owners of the UFC, and they were giving her these special tickets, I don’t know, ringside or something,” Rosie Galvan, Martinez’s mother told KSAT.

According to KSAT, Martinez’s phone went silent and the Bexar County Sheriff’s office opened a missing person’s report that Sunday. Martinez’s mother said her phone was turned on and a call was made to a friend a few days later before it was turned off again. At the time KSAT initially reported the call was supposedly made from Austin, where Martinez was eventually located.
