Texans GM Comments On His Future Status With Team

The Houston Texans are a hot mess right now.

This franchise has been poorly managed for way too long already, and it seems like no one is going to be able to turn things around until there’s a major change in culture.

Lovie Smith was never put in a position to succeed, yet he was the fall guy after another terrible season went to waste.

So, perhaps it was only fitting that Smith gave them a taste of their own medicine by spoiling their chances of getting the first-overall pick with a win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Moreover, some believe that it should’ve been GM Nick Caserio, not Smith, the one to lose his job after the season.

And notably, Caserio has reportedly left the door open for resignation if the new HC doesn’t want him there:

‘I’m grateful to be afforded the opportunity here,’ Caserio told the media, per Houston Texans insider Aaron Wilson. “For the third time, he referenced that if the new coach doesn’t feel comfortable with him remaining in place, he would consider stepping away,” Wilson added.
