Spurs assign Lonnie Walker IV to Austin Spurs
The first bit of good news about the rookie’s rehab.
Spurs Sports & Entertainment sent out a press release today.
SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 25, 2018) – The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have assigned Lonnie Walker IV to the Austin Spurs of the NBA G League. Austin is scheduled to hold practice in San Antonio today through Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Spurs practice facility. Walker IV continues his rehabilitation from a right medial meniscus tear.
This is great news for Spurs fans as a trip to Austin is the first stage on his road to recovery.
Walker was injured in a preseason game and has missed the entire regular season. Hopefully Spurs fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the anticipated young man back in San Antonio.
