SAPD search for five persons of interest in Alamo Plaza murder

SAPD is investigating the case as a capital murder.

San Antonio police are searching for five persons of interest in the killing of a man at Alamo Plaza in March. Officials released photos of the persons of interest identified in the capital murder investigation and are asking for some help identifying them.

A 26-year-old man reportedly got into a fight with a group of people outside a bar located on the 100 block of Alamo Plaza sometime after 2 a.m. on March 5. Police said the group consisted of three men and two women. One of the men in the group reportedly struck the victim, knocking him to the ground onto concrete, and rendering him unconscious “for an undetermined amount of time.”

The group of people stole the victim’s personal property and left him unconscious, according to the police. The 26-year-old eventually regained consciousness and was reportedly transported to a friend’s home where they lost consciousness again. Officials said the victim was then taken to a local hospital where he died.

Police did not specify all of the charges being sought in the case, but officials noted the investigation includes capital murder and failure to render aid. Anyone with information is asked to call the San Antonio police homicide unit at 210-207-7635 referencing case number SAPD23049083.
