San Antonio Water System is postponing its annual Spring Bloom event, which was scheduled for Saturday at the utility’s headquarters.
It attracts thousands of people interested in plant sales, gardening advice and workshops about water conservation and other topics. SAWS gives away drought-tolerant plants, and some nonprofit gardening groups sell plants for fundraising.
SAWS didn’t mention fears of the coronavirus specifically, but the postponement is in keeping with the cancellation of events across the city. The event will be rescheduled later in the year, SAWS said.
