San Antonio to warm up before more near freezing weekend temperatures

After a chilly weekend, the San Antonio-area high temperatures are expected to rise back up into the low 80s before taking another dip into near freezing temperatures this weekend.

After a 40% chance for rain on Monday night, February 13, the warm up will start on a windy Tuesday, February 14, according to the National Weather Service, with the high temperature expected to be around 76 degrees in San Antonio. Wind gusts are also expected to reach up to 30 miles per hour. 

In the Texas Hill Country, the expected high will be around 71 degrees with the area under high fire conditions. Temperatures are expected to rise to around 81 degrees in San Antonio on Wednesday, February 15, and 79 degrees in the Hill Country with lows in the mid 40s to low 50s. The wind will then pick up Wednesday night, with NWS anticipating gusts of up to 50 miles per hour. 

Temperatures will begin to drop on Thursday, February 16, with expected highs around the mid-50s for San Antonio and the Hill Country. The area will then see its lowest temperatures on Friday, February 17, with a low around 33 degrees in San Antonio and 27 degrees in Hill Country, which is below freezing. The anticipated high temperatures for Friday will hang around the mid 50s.

San Antonio and the Hill Country will wake up to expected lows between 30 degrees and 35 degrees on Saturday, February 18. The anticipated highs will be around the high 50s. Most of the week will mostly cloudy and partly sunny.
