San Antonio police respond to shooting at popular sports bar, Hills and Dales Ice House

The San Antonio Police Department responded to a reported shooting at a popular sports bar on the city’s Northwest Side on Monday, May 16, according to officials. The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. at Hills and Dales Ice House off White Fawn Drive near Loop 1604.

According to SAPD, a fight broke out at the bar. Police said officers headed to the scene after a man pulled out a gun and shot a person in the torso. 

The injured person was transported to University Hospital in an undisclosed condition. Police have not yet released the name of the person who was shot. Investigators are looking into what led up to the fight and the shooting. Several people at the bar were taken in for questioning. Police have not released the name or age of a possible suspect. 

Hills and Dales Ice House is near Six Flags Fiesta Texas and the La Cantera and Rim area. It’s open from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 2 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
