San Antonians leave lasting remarks on the original ‘Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger’

As news of the sudden passing of Jason David Frank continues to make ripples across the Internet on Sunday, November 20 many across the Alamo City have already taken the time to remember the original “Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger.”

As reported by TMZ Sunday morning, Frank died in Texas according to his rep Justine Hunt. He was 49-years-old. 

The renown actor and mixed martial artist rose to stardom in the iconic children’s franchise “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,”which first hit television screens way back in 1993. And his fame and popularity only continued to heighten as Frank starred in other Power Rangers projects, including Power Rangers Zeo, Turbo and Dino Thunder.

San Antonians waking up to the news of Frank’s passing have already begun to pour out tributes for the famed original “Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranger. 

Frank has spent many of times here in the Alamo City visiting fans at various pop culture conventions. At the tail end of October, he attended Big Texas Comicon where he spent time interacting with fans, taking pictures and signing autographs.

Many fans remember the original Green Power Ranger as an ‘awesome’ individual as well as a ‘class act’ among other things. 

Frank is survived by his four children. His sons Hunter and Jacob and his two daughters Skye and Jenna.
