Reviewing the Spurs’ options following the 2021 NBA Draft Combine

The NBA Combine has finally come to an end, the 2021 Draft is a month away, and the Spurs have plenty of decisions to ponder before they make the fifth lottery selection in franchise history. News continues to circulate about which prospects they’ve contacted, and reports have surfaced that a few teams are open to trading their top ten picks for the right price.

While moving up in this class could yield a generational talent, the Silver and Black might not have the assets to convince another organization to part ways with someone as talented as Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, or Jalen Green. Should they stay put, PATFO are still in a great position to land a player who could help lead them back into the playoffs down the line.

Project Spurs Columnist Benjamin Bornstein and The Burlington School Assistant Coach Gabe Esquivel join me on this edition of the Alamo City Limits Podcast to discuss potential fits for the 12th overall pick, whether or not the Spurs have “the guy” on their roster, and if San Antonio should offer restircted free agent John Collins a max contract this offseason.
