Report: Clippers take the Spurs’ potential signing of Chris Paul “very seriously”

ESPN’s Marc Stein reports that the Clippers are worried about losong their PG
According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, The Los Angeles Clippers are serious about the possibility of the Spurs’ signing Chris Paul.
The Clippers, I’m told, take the threat of a Spurs free-agent pursuit of Chris Paul very seriously despite SA’s current lack of cap space.

Despite the worries in Los Angeles, the Spurs would have to make a lot of moves in order to reach the cap space it would take to sign Paul. The Spurs would likely need Pau to opt out or be traded, let all their free agents walk, and trade one of Tony Parker, Danny Green, or LaMarcus Aldridge.
As good as Paul is, that’s an awful lot for San Antonio to let go in order to sign him — not to mention the issue of needing to maintain a good enough roster to intice to him sign.
