Rams Fans Finally Receive A Cooper Kupp Injury Update

To begin the 2022 season, Los Angeles Rams wideout Cooper Kupp was on pace to set the single-season reception record.

His 82 receptions, 812 yards, and 6 touchdowns had Rams fans leaping for joy.

However, it looks like he will be sidelined, at least for the next few weeks.

According to this update, Kupp will be out for at least four weeks.

The Rams will be without their top offensive weapon, at minimum, for their games against the Saints, Chiefs, Seahawks, and Raiders.

With Kupp placed on the IR, the earliest he could come back for the Rams is their Week 15 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

What Will The Rams Do Without Him?

Kupp was the favorite target of quarterback Matthew Stafford, garnering over 47% of the wide receiver targets from Stafford.

There are two pass-catchers for the Rams that are in line for more opportunities: wide receiver Allen Robinson II and tight end Tyler Higbee.

Higbee and Robinson have been the second and third-most targeted players on the Rams after Kupp.

With tough defenses in the Saints and Chiefs on deck for the next two games, Stafford will want to ensure that his best weapons are allowed to step up.

The injury to Kupp also comes at a devastating time for the Rams.

They currently have a 3-6 record, and they need to start stacking wins together to have any chance at the playoffs.

If they go 0-4, 1-3, or 2-2 in their four games without Kupp, that may be the nail in the coffin of their season.

Let’s see how Stafford and the Rams will do without Kupp.
