Raiders OT Brandon Parker placed on IR, out for 2022

The Las Vegas Raiders made a series of transactions Sunday ahead of the Aug. 30 53-man roster deadline. The biggest move was OT Brandon Parker being placed on the reserve/injured list, meaning his season is over.

Parker was slated to be the Raiders’ starting RT prior to his injury. Parker is going to be missed because he started 32 games for the Raiders over the last four years. OT Jermaine Eluemunor is now the favorite to start at RT against the Chargers in Week 1.

DT Tyler Lancaster and LB Tae Davis were also added to the reserve/injured list to also end their seasons. Lancaster and Davis were both longshots at making the roster, as DT and LB are positions the Raiders have depth at.

The Raiders waived TE Nick Bowers and WR Justin Hall. This makes sense as the Raiders have their top two TEs set in Darren Waller and Foster Moreau, and TE Jesper Horsted has made a solid case on making the 53-man roster as he has had a solid camp and preseason. Hall was also stuck in tough battle to make it on the roster as the WR room is arguably the Raiders deepest position group.
