Raheem Sterling jokes about proving his aggression as star is unhappy at low FIFA 20 rating

Raheem Sterling claimed he would prove his aggression against Everton after being shocked by his low rating on FIFA 20 before his ePremier League Invitational quarter-final clash against Andre Gomes.

When it was revealed Sterling was rated just 38 – compared to Gomes’ 81 – the Manchester City star retorted with ‘Let’s see next time we play Everton’, and then went on to win the esports clash 4-2 over the Portuguese.

The winger will now face Liverpool‘s Trent Alexander-Arnold in the semi-final, while Diogo Jota of Wolves plays Bournemouth‘s Lys Mousset in the other side of the draw.

With all football postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, fans have flocked to watch their favourite stars compete in the virtual competition aired on Sky Sports.

The now customary pre-game quiz saw Sterling confidently backing himself to have a higher rating than his rival, but after being proved wrong correctly backed Ederson’s kicking stat over Jordan Pickford only to incorrectly guess that John Stones was slower than team-mate Nicolas Otamendi on the game.

In the game itself, Sterling led through Kevin De Bruyne before Gomes struck back with Gylfi Sigurdsson on target for 1-1 at half-time.

Shortly after the break Aguero gave Manchester City a lead but Sigurdsson quickly levelled the scores again.

A second for Aguero put the game beyond Gomes and the Argentinian completed a hat-trick in the final minute to ensure Sterling’s progression.
