Open Thread: Wishing Derrick White a happy birthday

One of the stars of the Spurs (youth movement) hits the quarter-century mark today.

Spurs point guard and unofficial head of the youth movement celebrates his 25th birthday today. I was hoping that I’d get t wish him a happy birthday personally from the Utah Summer League, but the standout guard is not to be found.

With an incredible basketball IQ, acute passing, a dangerous three, and defensive chops worthy of a Popovich first round draft pick, White is quickly becoming the Spurs most reliable player.

For now I, like you, will have to satisfy my craving for White’s stellar playing with a highlight reel.

So, #4, wherever you are today, enjoy yourself. We look forward to seeing you again next season. And thanks for being a Spur.
