Open Thread: Tony Parker bought himself the ultimate Christmas present

Tony Parker made the news yesterday. And for once, it had nothing to do with basketball . . . or rapping.

It seems the six-time All-Star has been on Santa’s nice list and this year he is getting a boat.

Infinity Nine, the 115 foot skiff named for the French guard’s San Antonio Spurs jersey number, features an extended swim platform, a 312-square-foot full beam master with floor-to-ceiling windows which provide a view ofthe ocean, exterior seating, sun lounging areas across all decks, five double guest cabins, and gym on the upper deck.

Parker’s investment in the four-level yacht is definitely the way to go for a retiree. He’s sure to enjoy the vessel as a way to travel from the Gulf of Mexico across the Atlantic ocean through the English Channel en route to his homeland in France.

Technically, it’s a superyacht. Yeah, that’s a real thing . . . look it up.

But did anyone bother to tell Parker that he’d have been wise to wait until after the holidays to get a really good after-Christmas sale?
