Open Thread: Spurs and Jr. NBA presented “Her Time To Play”

Spurs reached over 300 French athletes with Spurs Sports Academy Clinics

While the Spurs were overseas in Paris, France, they stayed active with a bevy of activities. Via a Spurs Organization press release:

The San Antonio Spurs teamed up with Jr. NBA to bring the Spurs Her Time to Play initiative to France as part of the team’s engagement in The NBA Paris Games 2025, presented by Tissot. In addition to the Her Time to Play event, the Spurs also held six basketball clinics across Paris, led by Spurs Sports Academy, reaching a total of over 300 young athletes this week.


Dr. Kara Allen, Chief People, Impact and Belonging Officer at Spurs Sports & Entertainment stated,

“It’s an honor to share two of our most cherished and successful programs, Spurs Her Time to Play and Spurs Sports Academy, on a global scale for youth in Paris to connect with the universal game of basketball,” said Dr. Kara Allen, Chief People, Impact and Belonging Officer at Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “Hosting these clinics provided a platform for us all to engage in cultural exchange, build shared experiences and celebrate the enduring impact of the Spurs commitment to community.”


The Spurs hosted six basketball skills clinics across Paris for athletes from the ages of eight through fifteen years.
