Open Thread: Manu Ginobili first player in to score 2,000 playoff points coming off the bench
Finally a stat that isn’t limited to Manu being 40.
Game 5 of these playoffs will always serve as a milestone in San Antonio:
Manu Ginobili now has 2,000 points in his Playoffs career off the bench.
He is the first player in NBA history to reach 2K as a reserve.

Manu Ginobili has been doing work as a reserve for more than a decade. Now he stands alone as the highest scoring player to come off the bench in the postseason. The 2,000 mark just puts an exclamation point on it.
