Teaching youngsters about healthy living takes a village.
I was grateful today to witness a special announcement.
Earlier today, @SpursGive announced a $120,000 donation to to help fund @CHEFSanAntonio programming in 40 SAISD schools!

The money benefits a program which is teaching children how to cook. But beyond simple instructions and dishes, CHEF is challenges kids to try new foods, expand their horizons, and eat a healthy, well-balanced diet.
The students had a full-scale food presentation, and it was great to see Jakob Poeltl jump right in and really embrace the program. SAISD Superintendent Pedro Martinez, along with key SAISD personnel, joined R. C. Buford and the Spurs Give team to present Bonham Academy with the $120,000 check which will benefit the twenty participating schools. The money will also fund the program in another twenty schools next year.
