Officials ID man shot, killed on Christmas Eve

Police have identified the man who was shot and killed on Christmas Eve as 23-year-old James Anthony Vargas.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner said Vargas died on Dec. 24 from several gunshot wounds.
According to police, Vargas got into an argument with at least one person at around 5 p.m. at a residence near the 13000 block of O’Connor Road. Police said they are unsure if Vargas was in an argument with one or two individuals.

During the argument, one of the individuals shot Vargas before fleeing on foot.
Police have not identified the suspects.
