NFL Insider Explains Consequences Of The Cooper Kupp Deal

Los Angeles Rams fans are celebrating after the team gave Cooper Kupp a three-year, $80 million extension.

That deal makes him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the league and rightfully so.

Last season, Kupp had an unforgettable campaign wherein he led the league in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns.

He also established an NFL record of 13-straight games of at least 90 receiving yards.

His efforts earned him a First-Team All-Pro selection and the Offensive Player of the Year award.

The former Eastern Washington standout also finished a superb season by becoming Super Bowl LVI MVP.

Kupp’s new deal keeps him in Los Angeles for at least five more seasons.

Therefore, he will keep his fruitful partnership with quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Aside from having a powerful offensive unit, the Rams have a strong chance of getting another Super Bowl because of their superb defense.

Unfortunately, there’s a consequence regarding Kupp’s signing but it’s something the Rams will have no problems accepting.
