Brendan Rodgers insists he has lost none of his appetite to manage Leicester as the club begin a European journey they hope will rescue their season.
Rodgers has been under increasing pressure in recent weeks after a run that has brought only one win in six games.
The Foxes face Danish club Randers on Thursday in the play-off round of the Europa Conference League – Europe’s new third-tier competition – following their elimination from the Europa League in December.

With Leicester treading water in the Premier League, a long run in Europe could help restore the feel-good factor that has been absent from last year’s FA Cup winners this term.
‘The nature of football is that there isn’t so much time,’ reflected Rodgers. ‘It wasn’t so long ago that you are deemed an elite manager, having won the FA Cup but then very quickly you’re not.
‘But I get that. That’s the game. What’s important to me in life is to do your very best. I feel I’m doing that here with what we have and together we have made some great steps.
‘I love the people at the club, I love working with the players here and that’s all I will continue to do. I will do that with a smile until someone tells me differently.

‘And if they do, I will have done my very best with the resources that I have and then I’ll move on. But until then I have a big energy for the team, for the club and for my contract.’
After taking over as Leicester manager in February 2019, Rodgers signed a new deal in November that year, which expires in 2025.
With Leicester 10 points adrift of Sunday’s opponents Wolves, the Conference League may prove their best chance of remaining in European competition next season, with the winner earning a Europa League spot.
Rodgers added: ‘We are in this competition now and we will do everything we can to win it.’
