Highlights: Spurs gritted their way in attempts to play playoff spoiler

Coaching is nothing more than eliminating mistakes before you get fired.
The Silver and Black bravely battled a rising Clippers game in Tuesday’s loss. Harrison Barnes led the team with 24 points, sniping 6 – 8 from deep. Stephon Castle continued to solidify his case for Rookie of the Year with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
Sandro Mamukelashvili out here breaking hearts and ankles, showing off his handles and draining the open three after shimmying away from his defender. The fan favorite continues to produce, averaging 12.6 any time he plays more than 20 minutes.

Case in point: barreling down the baseline for a one-handed dunk? Sure. Anything is possible in today’s NBA. One day you’re successful head coach that brought a franchise its first and only title, the next day you’re replying to spam texts asking if you’re interested in a remote job that pays $50.00 an hour.

I’ve gushed about Stephon Castle’s game all season, why stop now? The body control and court awareness to gather the ball low to slither through his defender and then burst through at the end to get the foul call is just high IQ play. Looks like a beefier Shai-Gilgeous Alexander out there, but you know Chris Paul has been personally showing the ropes to the young rookie.

Blake Wesley went top shelf for this dunk. Wesley, for his part, contributed 8 points off the bench and became a play maker for the team dishing out 7 assists.

Congratulations to Keldon Johnson for passing the great Manu Ginóbili to be in rarefied air. The fact that KJ brings the same frenetic energy whether he’s starting or coming off the bench means he’s cut from the same cloth as El Contusión.
