Heavy rainfall, hail possible with severe storms headed for San Antonio

San Antonio may see some flooding this week as meteorologists predict the possibility of severe storms to roll through the area.

The National Weather Service said San Antonio and the Hill Country have a slight risk for severe storms Tuesday evening into early Wednesday, which could result in isolated pockets of flooding.

Most of South-Central Texas will see storms with the Hill County and portions of the Interstate 35 corridor in Central Texas are most at risk for flash flooding.

With the storms, hail is a possibility and large wind gusts expected. The National Weather Service said there is a lesser threat for an isolated tornado or two from the storms.

Up to 2 inches of rainfall is expected for the San Antonio area.
