Harrison and Brittany Barnes unveil Saltillo, Mexico courts

Last July, we shared a story regarding Harrison and Brittany Barnes committing to refurbishing two basketball courts in Saltillo, Mexico. On Friday, Juneteenth, the Barnes returned to Saltillo for the unveiling of two more finished courts.

Per a Spurs press release:

The Harrison and Brittany Barnes Community Fund, in collaboration with Spurs Give, today announced the unveiling of two newly renovated multipurpose courts in Saltillo, Mexico, marking a return to the city following last year’s court refurbishment initiative. With the addition of these two courts, Harrison and Brittany Barnes have now brought four refurbished courts to Saltillo within a full calendar year, further deepening their investment in the region and its youth in continued collaboration with Saltillo mayor Javier Díaz.

“Mexico’s people and culture hold such a special place in my heart, and in the heart of the Spurs organization,” said Harrison Barnes. “Brittany and I are honored to return to Saltillo and continue building on the relationships we started here last year. These courts are about creating opportunities for young people to play, grow and connect with their community.”
