Harlan High School evacuated after person made a threat toward the campus on social media

Harlan High School was evacuated Thursday afternoon after an individual made a threat toward the campus on social media.

Students and staff cleared out so authorities could search the far West Side building.

The decision was made “out of an abundance of precaution,” according to a letter sent to parents by Northside ISD.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office worked with the school district’s police department to investigate the comments.

Authorities did not find the threat to be credible, officials said.

Students have returned to the building.
