Former San Antonio mayor hospitalized after heart attack

Days after inaugurating a long-awaited improvement to the city park that bears his name, former San Antonio Mayor Phil Hardberger suffered a mild heart attack Monday.

A spokeswoman from the Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy said Tuesday that Hardberger, 86, was in “good condition” at an unnamed local hospital and “is expected to go home soon after receiving care.”
