Fire destroys building on the North Side displacing multiple residents overnight

Five people were displaced after a night fire destroyed an apartment complex building on San Antonio’s North Side, officials said.

Firefighters responded to the Kenton Village Apartments in the 14000 block Nacogdoches Road around 11:25 p.m. to find several units in one of the complex’s buildings engulfed in flames, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

Despite their efforts, SAFD officials say the blaze could not be contained resulting in the total loss of the building housing multiple apartment units.

There were no reported injuries, but all residents of the building were left homeless, officials said.

Kenton Village management reports they are working to help the victims find housing.
