Derrick White signs 4-year, $73 million extension with the Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs have signed fourth-year guard Derrick White to a four-year $73M contract extension, according to a report from ESPN Senior Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

This multi-year deal comes on the final day of the 2020 offseason right as the metaphorical shot clock expired on the 5 PM CST rookie extension deadline, and will go into effect during the 2021-2022 regular season.
White was one of the breakout stars of the NBA Restart, averaging 18.9 points per game on 39.3% shooting from beyond the arc for an overachieving Spurs squad that went 5-3 in the bubble.
The Colorado alum proved incredibly versatile on both ends a season ago, ranking in the 85th percentile for efficiency as a high-volume pick-and-roll ballhandler and leading all guards in total blocks.
PATFO will still have around $50M at their disposal during the 2021 offseason despite signing Derrick to an extension worth approximately $18.25M annually, according to ESPN Front Office Insider Bobby Marks.
