You said it, Chris Gaines. We won’t know the way it’ll end. The Spurs’ playoff lives are better left to chance. But as of the win on Saturday against the Pelicans, they are in prime position and control their own destiny for the play-in tournament. DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 32 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Derrick White poured in 22 points for the game and also lived dangerously with 5 personal fouls.
DeMar DeRozan’s 32 points is his 9th 30+ scoring game of the season, which demonstrates how important he can be to the Spurs scoring offense. That being said, number 10 also leads the Spurs in total assists and assists per game at 7.2. DmDr simply runs the good guys’ offense whenever he is on the floor, and that is no small feat.
