DeMar DeRozan and Derrick White take flight in the Spurs’ crucial win over the Pelicans

And now I’m glad I didn’t know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance

You said it, Chris Gaines. We won’t know the way it’ll end. The Spurs’ playoff lives are better left to chance. But as of the win on Saturday against the Pelicans, they are in prime position and control their own destiny for the play-in tournament. DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 32 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Derrick White poured in 22 points for the game and also lived dangerously with 5 personal fouls.

DeMar DeRozan’s 32 points is his 9th 30+ scoring game of the season, which demonstrates how important he can be to the Spurs scoring offense. That being said, number 10 also leads the Spurs in total assists and assists per game at 7.2. DmDr simply runs the good guys’ offense whenever he is on the floor, and that is no small feat.

If you can’t block a shot with one hand . . . you should block a shot with two hands; it oddly looks cooler with two hands:

Jakob Poeltl had five blocks again tonight, which means five more and he gets a free cold cut combo from Subway.

Popovich: “Gimme some nasty.”

Keldon Johnson: “K.”

Mountain Drew blocked a shot, turned it over, AND THEN TOTALLY REDEEMED HIMSELF with another block:

Young Luka gets a dunk. Tall Luka gets an and-1. Young, tall Luka gets daps from DeRozan.

DeMar DeRozan is as smooth as a jar of Peter Pan peanut butter:

Defense to offense and a touch pass to a slam dunk by the Big Body—I love this game.
