City asking for donations of cleaning products to help San Antonio first responders

The city of San Antonio is accepting donations of unopened cleaning supplies to help support first responders during the stay at home pandemic.

Through its social media outlets, the city put the call-out on Thursday, asking for help from the public. Businesses and commercial enterprises are being asked to donate unopened supplies like hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, nitrile gloves and bleach to help local first responders and public-facing services.

Bexar County has reported 133 confirmed COVID-19 cases and five deaths connected to the virus as of Thursday’s official update.
