Chelsea set ‘accelerate’ interest and set to do battle with Juventus for Aurélien Tchouaméni
Aurélien Tchouaméni is a player that is hot on the lips of many continental aficionados of late, and Chelsea have appeared to put themselves in pole position to land the 21-year-old newly christened French international.
According to Tuttomercatoweb’s Nicolo Ceccarini and cited by Football365, Chelsea are ready to ‘accelerate’ their interest in the AS Monaco youngster and are meant to battle it out with Serie A giants Juventus for the player, who has come to life after his first-full season for the principality outfit in 2020-21;
“The (Juventus) squad is incomplete, and especially in the midfield, we need a further addition of quality, able to make the team change gear. The process of generational change has begun. The operation Locatelli goes in this direction, and now Juventus must look for a young, strong profile that can give a great perspective.
In short, the objective is to try to satisfy Allegri, even if it’s never easy to intervene in January. However, the Bianconeri have already put a couple of players in their sights who could be truly ideal. Is Stamford Bridge the ideal fit for Tchouaméni?
Far be it from anyone to question whether Chelsea are handling themselves smartly in the transfer window, but one can raise the point if whether or not Aurélien Tchouaméni ending up at Stamford Bridge would be the best destination for the budding French international.

At the moment, the Rouen-native is an undisputed vital piece of the puzzle at the Stade Louis II, and picking his next port of call can either make or break his chances of becoming equally vital for his country in the immediate future.
When it comes to Chelsea, he would come into immediate contention with fellow Frenchman N’Golo Kanté & Jorginho, who have proven to be one of the best midfield tandems in all of Europe. But at the aforementioned United and Juventus, his pathway to considerable first-team minutes is more clear.
United are in desperate need of a long-term – and, truthfully, an immediate – piece of reinforcement in the holding midfield role, while Juventus are also in the hunt for similar. What Tchouaméni choses remains to be seen, but regardless of that, he seems to be on the fast track to big things in short order.
