Boy, 9, flown to hospital after ATV accident in South Bexar County
A 9-year-old boy was airlifted to a local hospital after an ATV accident Monday evening in South Bexar County.
The boy was riding an ATV with his father at about 7 p.m. off the roadway near the intersection of Silver Mountain and Silver Leaf Drive, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
At some point, the father lost control and crashed, deputies said.
The boy sustained injuries to his upper torso and was flown to University Hospital by Airlife. The condition of the child was not immediately known, a sheriff’s office spokesman said.
