BCSO finds $200k of cocaine during traffic stop on San Antonio’s Northside

Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies found $200,000 worth of cocaine during a traffic stop on the city’s Northside.

Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies reportedly found $200,000 worth of cocaine during a traffic stop on San Antonio’s Northside last week. Officials arrested the driver after discovering the drugs, the BCSO stated in its Facebook post on Wednesday, February 8. 

According to the BCSO, deputies conducted the traffic stop on February 2 at Loop 1604 West and Bitters Road, near Huebner Road and Blanco Road. Deputies said a K9 was utilized and alerted officials about the narcotics in the vehicle.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found five kilograms of cocaine, according to the post. The drugs were recovered from the vehicle, officials said. Deputies said the total street value of the narcotics is $200,000.

The driver of the vehicle, 45-year-old Willian Naranjo Carachure, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance of 400 grams, a first-degree felony.

Carachure was booked into the Bexar County Jail and his bond is set at $100,000, records show.
