Austin Community College sent an emergency alert at noon on Wednesday, February 8. According to ACC central communications, The Cypress Creek campus has a shelter-in-place order following a report of a potentially armed person near the Cedar Park campus.

During the shelter-in-place order, campus doors will remain closed and locked until the order is lifted. ACC is asking everyone to stay away from the Cypress Creek campus for now.

According to a statement from ACC, the order is a precautionary measure and Cedar Park Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the ACC District Police. Updates from the school will be shared on the college’s homepage and on Facebook and Twitter.

All other ACC campuses are unaffected by the order and on normal schedules.
