San Antonio police say four suspects are still at large after they fled the scene of an armored car robbery in an Eastside Whataburger parking lot Thursday afternoon, March 30. Four armed suspects robbed the driver of a Loomis armored vehicle that was parked at a Whataburger at 303 Roland Road, according to a preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department.

The driver of the Loomis vehicle told SAPD officers four masked people with guns demanded money from his vehicle around 1 p.m. Police say the driver might have been in the drive-thru when he was robbed, News 4 reports

The driver was held at gunpoint while they took money from the vehicle, the report says. He then told police the suspects fled before officers arrived. SAPD searched the area but couldn’t find the suspects.

Loomis is a security company that transports cash to businesses or banks, and also replenishes cash in ATMs, according to its website.

Police said the investigation is still ongoing and did not provide any information about the suspects, or how much money the suspects made off with.
