AC Milan Initiates Talks with AZ Alkmaar for Tijjani Reijnders Transfer

AC Milan has reportedly opened official discussions with AZ Alkmaar in their pursuit of Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Milan is making significant progress in their efforts to secure Reijnders, reinforcing their midfield options following the recent signing of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

AC Milan’s Pursuit of Tijjani Reijnders

AC Milan, the storied Italian football club, is intensifying its pursuit of talented Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar. Reports indicate that Milan is keen to secure Reijnders’ signature and has already engaged in official talks with AZ.

This move comes shortly after the club bolstered their midfield options with the acquisition of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Given Milan’s desire to fortify their midfield following Sandro Tonali’s move to Newcastle, they have been linked with several midfielders in recent weeks.

Reijnders emerged as a promising target, and Milan wasted no time in agreeing to personal terms with the Dutchman. If the negotiations with AZ prove successful, Reijnders is set to earn a competitive salary of €1.7 million per season.

Progress in Negotiations and Transfer Valuation

According to Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan’s initial verbal bid for Tijjani Reijnders stands at €19 million. This offer is believed to be in close proximity to AZ Alkmaar’s valuation of the talented midfielder.

The negotiations between the clubs are expected to continue throughout the week, with both parties striving to find common ground and reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
