A man was hit and killed while trying to cross a far West Side street Wednesday night, San Antonio police said.
The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. in the 2400 block of Hunt Lane, where the man failed to yield the right of what while crossing the street and was hit by a Ford Escape driving southbound, police said. The man was not in the crosswalk, according to police.
The driver stopped to render aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not identified the man and said no charges are pending for the driver.
