Protect wildlife ponds | Champions League final | Avoiding Arsenal | Colonial attitudes | Nine times table
I know how to stop swimmers using the wildlife ponds on Hampstead Heath (Report, 27 May). Erect a picture of all the enormous crayfish – an invasive species – now inhabiting many of the ponds, particularly the one pictured. I certainly wouldn’t want to be swimming with them snapping at my toes.

• A cup final between clubs from London and Paris (Paris Saint-Germain retain Champions League as Arsenal dream dashed in shootout, 30 May) would surely have been best played in Belgium, close to both teams? Granted, it would have been harder to organise – and may have had to be a week later – but the future of humankind should not be sacrificed to finals in faraway venues.
